Training Camp

Training Camp Mission/Vision

Our mission is to expose a generation to a loving God who wants to have a personal relationship with them and to help them find their value in Him, to identify gifts and callings, and to encourage them to pursue their visions, passions, and dreams by establishing a strong Biblical foundation as well as teaching them basic fundamentals of a life led by Holy Spirit

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)

Training Camp ministry serves children ages 5-12. Our time with the children includes Gathering Time, Groups, and Game.

Gathering Time – The children listen to a lesson, but are then given time to be in God’s presence and allow Him to speak to them personally. After our “soaking” time, some children share with the others what they heard God telling them. It is an awesome time for the children to realize they are not too young to hear from God.

Groups- After Gathering time, the children break into two smaller groups – ages 5-7 and ages 8-12. During group time, the children spend time visiting with one another while they wait their turn to say their memory verse for the week. Each week children have a memory verse to work on that relates to the lesson they heard Sunday, with the hopes of reinforcing the lesson and helping the children store the Word in their hearts as a solid foundation for their lives.

Game – As a reward for good choices/behavior during the Gathering time and Group time, children are given the opportunity to play a game. Ages 5,6 play a game, while the 8-12 year old children play a different game in a different location.

Parent Handbooks are given to families to reinforce what children are learning at Training Camp on Sundays. The handbooks include lesson summaries, scripture studies, a home activity, and a parent’s blessing for them to pray over their children. We believe Training Camp works with families to help their children discover the truth of God’s Word and the value of being in His presence. These concepts are solidified in a child’s life when they see them lived out at home. Therefore, the Parent Handbooks are a great way to involve families in all we learn at Training Camp

Memory Verse Books are also given to each family, which includes all of the verses for each week.

Pastor ToddLeaders – Todd and Miriam Dalton

Pastor Todd has been working with children since he was 19 years old. He and his wife Miriam have two children of their own, Clay and Isaiah. They desire for all children to encounter the love of the Father and know they have purpose and destiny. Their goal is to support these children with tools from the Word and time in His presence so that every part of God’s plan for their destiny is fulfilled.
